Black-Owned Businesses Fighting to Get Maryland Medical Cannabis Licenses.

Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission expected to make license decision this summer after process postponed in 2019 with allegations of racial bias. Over 200 applicants applied for just 14 licenses made available last year, the selection was postponed when the Legislative Black Caucus said too many of those licenses would have gone to out-of-state investors and how few minorities got licenses in the previous selection round.
