CannaShark Consulting, LLC

CannaShark’s Core Paid Diagnostic

Business Performance Diagnostic™

A structured, paid engagement that identifies the constraints limiting performance and converts the findings into written priorities, a 90-Day Roadmap and a leadership presentation.

What is the Business Performance Diagnostic™? It is a decision-making work product—not a free consultation and not an oversized implementation proposal. CannaShark examines the business as a connected system, identifies the constraints that matter most and presents leadership with written findings and a prioritized plan for the next 90 days.

Why diagnose before implementing?

Companies frequently invest in marketing, software, equipment, hiring or compliance projects before confirming the underlying problem. That can create more cost, more complexity and more work without changing the outcome.

The Diagnostic establishes a shared fact pattern. It separates symptoms from constraints, distinguishes urgent issues from important ones and gives leadership a sequence for deploying limited time, money and attention.

What the Diagnostic examines

Each Diagnostic begins with the business questions leadership needs answered. CannaShark assesses the connected operating system broadly, then follows the evidence into the functions, records, workflows and decisions most likely to affect performance. Depending on the business and the issues uncovered, that analysis can draw from an extensive range of capabilities:

Strategy, economics and capital

Business model, priorities, market position, revenue logic, margin, cash constraints, capitalization, transaction readiness and the assumptions driving major decisions.

Licensing, compliance and risk controls

Regulatory dependencies, application or renewal readiness, controlled documents, records, recurring controls, remediation needs and evidence quality.

Operations, facilities and products

Workflow, capacity, inventory, quality, SOPs, technology, facility constraints, product economics, commercialization and recurring execution failures.

People, management and execution

Roles, accountability, decision rights, owner dependency, organizational capability, reporting, management rhythms and the team’s ability to execute change.

What leadership receives

Integrated Diagnostic Package

One cohesive deliverable containing the written findings, supporting observations, material dependencies and the prioritized 90-Day Roadmap. The Roadmap converts the analysis into a sequenced plan showing what should happen first, what can wait and who needs to own the work. See how a 90-Day Business Execution Roadmap is structured.

Findings presentation

A working session that explains the evidence, tradeoffs, recommended direction and execution choices.

The engagement process

Business Evaluation Call

We gather enough context to understand the situation, assess fit and decide whether the paid Diagnostic is likely to create value. The Evaluation Call is not the Diagnostic.

Scope and information plan

If there is a fit, the engagement defines the business questions, participants, documents, systems and access needed for the assessment.

Diagnostic analysis

CannaShark reviews the relevant evidence, interviews stakeholders when appropriate and tests how the issues connect across the business.

Roadmap and presentation

Leadership receives the written findings, prioritized 90-Day Roadmap and presentation, then chooses how the plan will be executed.

Typical timing: A Diagnostic generally takes approximately one to three weeks for a smaller company and two to four weeks for a larger company. Very large, highly complex or multi-entity organizations may require additional time. The expected schedule is confirmed during scoping and assumes timely access to the people, records and systems needed for the analysis.

Three execution paths after the Diagnostic

Option 1

Self-Execute

The client’s internal team owns implementation using the findings and Roadmap as the operating guide.

Option 2

Guided 90-Day Execution

CannaShark works with the existing team to guide priorities, accountability, decisions and delivery during the implementation period.

Option 3

Embedded 90-Day Buildout

CannaShark takes a more hands-on role building systems, capability and execution structure when internal capacity is not sufficient.

Important

Execution is chosen after diagnosis

The company does not have to buy implementation to receive the Diagnostic. The appropriate path depends on the findings, urgency and internal capacity.

Who benefits most

The Diagnostic is most useful when the stakes are high, the symptoms cross departments or leadership has several competing explanations for what is wrong. Common triggers include margin pressure, stalled growth, owner dependency, licensing or compliance complexity, repeated execution failures, expansion, turnaround and transaction readiness.

The scope can draw from licensing, compliance, operations, finance, facilities, products, technology, organizational design, transactions and expert analysis—wherever the evidence points and the business questions require.

For one common leadership constraint, read how to reduce owner dependency in a regulated business.

Frequently asked questions

Is the Business Evaluation Call part of the paid Diagnostic?

No. The call is used to gather context and assess fit. The paid Diagnostic begins only after scope and engagement terms are agreed.

How long does the Diagnostic take?

A smaller company will generally require approximately one to three weeks, while a larger company will generally require two to four weeks. Very large or unusually complex organizations may require additional time. The final schedule is confirmed during scoping and depends on timely access to the necessary people, records and systems.

Does the Diagnostic include implementation?

No. It includes analysis, written findings, the prioritized 90-Day Roadmap and a presentation. Implementation is a separate choice made after leadership reviews the findings.

Will CannaShark review the entire business?

The Diagnostic examines the connected areas relevant to the core business questions. Scope is tailored so the analysis is broad enough to identify root constraints without collecting information that does not affect the decision.

Is a positive result guaranteed?

No. The Diagnostic improves clarity and decision quality, but outcomes depend on the facts, market conditions, resources and quality of execution.

The Business Performance Diagnostic™ is a business-consulting work product and does not replace legal, tax, accounting, engineering or investment advice.
